Accidental Discovery
Today I was browsing through Telugu blogs. Instead of clicking on browsers' back button, I used the short key combination Alt+LeftArrow. Screen went blank for one second. To my surprise the entire desktop layout got turned a 90 degree left.
After a few seconds of bewilderment, I started thinking what could have happened. After trying a few key combinations for a few more seconds, I got to know there is such a facility in this operating system (Windows Xp Prof). I am not much interested to know more about it, but it can be useful while I read stories in my Notebook. The accidentally discovered key combination is: Control+Alt+AnyArrow.

As Veeven said, it is a feature of Intel Graphics Driver. Probably your are using a different Graphics hardware, and that hardware is using its own driver!?
